119. Aesop's Fables - The Hares and The Frogs

Once there lived a group of hares in a forest. The hares were often persecuted by the other animals of the forest. They were continuously threatened and gradually became afraid of even their shadows.

The hare began to pity themselves and decided to have a council to discuss the matter. They could find no real solution to the situation and decided to end their lives rather than live in threat and shame.

So the group of hares went to the forest pond to jump into it and die by downing in it.

The forest pond was inhabited by several frogs. Some of them sat on the leaves of water lily. When the frogs sitting on the leaves saw the approaching group of hares, they got sacred and jumped into the water to seek shelter.

When the hare saw the frogs fleeing for safety, one of them cried, 'Look, these creatures are afraid of us. They have disappeared seeing us! Let's return yo our home, the situation is not bad as we think'.

Moral: Sometimes we may feel very down (sad) and unfortunate about ourselves. But we should never forget that there is always someone worse than us.
