Once there lived a shepherd. The shepherd had a large flock of sheep.
The shepherd took his sheep to the cliff by the sea for gazing. While the sheep gazed, the shepherd watched the vast sea. The sea looked calm and alluring. The shepherd longed to make a voyage and travel far into the sea.
So the shepherd decided to buy a cargo ship. He sold all his sheep and bought a large cargo ship. He got a cargo consignment and hired men for cargo handling. The shepherd and his crew set sailing.
They sailed for several days. The shepherd set on the deck and enjoyed seeing the far seas. But one night the weather went bad. Strong winds blew and the ship was hit by mammoth waves. The shepherd and his crew realized that the ship was in danger of sinking. So they started throwing threw all the merchandize in the sea.
The shepherd and his crew saved their lives with much difficulty. They sailed for some more days until they reached their destination in the empty ship. The was heavily damaged and wrecked by the sea storms.
The shepherd repented his action. He quietly sat on a cliff near the sea and watched the calm seas. He wept for his misfortune and promised not to be believe what is seen.
Moral: Trust not in him that seems saintly.
