Who is Half educated?

Once upon a time there lived a wolf and a jackal in a jungle.

One day the wolf met jackal. They talk about various issues, when the wolf bragged, “Jackal, it seems you are not even half as educated as I am”. The wolf was very proud of himself.

The jackal nodded plainly and offered no argument. While they stood, suddenly a tiger roared, “Listen, nobody is as educated as I am!"

Seeing the tiger in face, the wolf froze, while the jackal took his heels and thought of a plan to escape.

The jackal reinforced, “O mighty King! Indeed you are more educated than anyone else and hence we small animals seek your guidance".

The jackal continued, "O King, help us decide who among the two of us should eat the chickens first".

The tiger howled, "Show me the chickens first". The tiger was looking for tge chance to prey upon jackal, wolf and now chicken as well!.

The jackal asked the tiger to come along. He lead the tiger to a small cave. The wolf came along too.

Reaching the cave the jackal said, " O mighty King, the chickens are resting inside the cave. You need to enter the cave to see them".

The tiger laughed. In greed, he entered the cave without thinking much. The clever jackal quickly asked the wolf to help him drag a boulder in front of the cave and block it. Together they blocked the entrance of cave.

The jackal and the wolf cheered over the danger of overcoming the danger of being killed by the tiger. The wolf also realized his mistake and said, "Friend, I was wrong in calling you half educated than me. You definitely have presence of mind and are smarter than me".

The world appreciated his friend jackal and they lived happily thereafter.

Mamma Kangaroo Gets Pouch

Once there lived a beautiful Mother Kangaroo in the vast grasslands in the country of Australia.
The Mother Kangaroo had a bubbly son named Joey. Joey was cheerful. He hopped and played in the tall standing grasses all day long.
One fine day, Mama Kangaroo waited for Joey to return. It was late afternoon. She was worried.
So she hopped across the tall bushes searching for Joey. Suddenly, she bumped into an old wombat.
The wombat cried, “Who is this? Who is this? Why are you stepping on me? I am an old blind wombat. Leave me alone!"
Mama Kangaroo was nerved. She quickly apologised and said, "I am sorry. I never intended to hurt you. Pardon me! I am looking for my son Joey. He left playing early morning and can be seen no where around here". The mother Kangaroo began sobbing.
The wombat said, "Friend, donot worry. I will help you in finding Joey".
The wombat told Mother Kangaroo, to carry him on her tail to pastures on the other side of small crest. She agreed and they both hopped away. The other side of the crest was laden with fresh green pastures. The wombat told Mamma kangaroo that he was hungry and if they could wait while he ate some grass.
After eating to his heart content, the old wombat said, "let's go to the river side".
The mother Kangaroo sighed. She was worried even more about her son as the day was coming to a draw. But she took the old wombat on her tail to the river side.
The wombat drank water and quenched his thirst. While the wombat drank water, mother Kangaroo turned around hopping to find his Joey. Much to surprise, she found Joey curdled up near the river side lying under a tree.
Her happiness knew no bounds. She ran and lifted Joey, hugging and loving him. He wombat kept looking the beautiful scene. She turned into an angel and said to Mama Kangaroo, “O kind Mama, you love is heartening. You are the kindest of all animals, I have ever seen. I had been asking for help since days. I slept hungry and thirsty for day. No one helped me except you even when you were worried about your baby. You are blessed!"
The angel asked the Mother Kangaroo to tie a bark of a tree around her round tummy. The mother Kangaroo took a large bark and covered her tummy with it. The angel's blessings brought the most unexpected change, and the bark turned into a deep pocket forming pouch! The angel asked Mama to keep Joey in the pouch, so that he always near her.
Mama Kangaroo was overjoyed. She lifted her Joey into the pouch and from that day on, all mamma kangaroos came have pouches.

Once there lived a lovely little bear named Baybu.
Baybu was very friendly. He was adored and loved by everyone. He shared his sweets and stories with animals. They all loved to listen him and spending time with him.
One day, Baybu went over the bridge on the river. He played for sometime and then came and sat near the riverside. A cool breeze was blowing. Baybu fished some fish for his lunch.
While was netting, he suddenly caught sight of a large trunk sailing on the water. Baybu thought it was an animal. He was sacred first and ran away. He stood behind  large tree and peeped to watch the trunk.

The trunk got stuck on the riverside where the water was shallow. After sometime, Baybu realised that it was not an animal. He came out and touched the trunk. The trunk had latch and Baybu with much effort opened it.
"Wow!", Baybu cheered. It was a trunk full of beautiful colorful clothes.
There were caps, pants, shirts, suits and what not. This made Baybu very happy. He choose clothes and wore them. He went around happily in his new clothes. He went to the riverside again to watch himself in new clothes.
While he was returning, he met his friend Minku, the Monkey. Minku was amazed to see Baybu. He asked, " Baybu, you look so good. Where did you get these wonderful clothes from?"
Baybu told Minku about the trunk of clothes and took him to the trunk. Minku the Monkey wore clothes and told his troop about the trunk. All the Monkeys were excited. They ran towards to trunk to grab the clothes. Soon a fight broke among them. They screeched and hooted at one another, snatching clothes tearing them apart. None of them was able to wear any cloth and soon all clothes were torn. There were bits and pieces of clothes lying all around. When Baybu came and saw the mess, he became angry with the Monkeys over their foolish behaviour. He scolded them and went away in anger and sadness.

Koobar the Koala and Water

Long ago there lived a boy named Kubaar. He was an orphan and lived with his relatives. They lived in a dry country where water was scarcely found.
Kubaar was ill treated by his relatives. They never gave him to sufficient food to  eat and water to drink. He was more than often troubled by thirst and hunger.
One day, Kubaar drank all the water when all his relatives went to the village fare, leaving him behind. Suddenly after he drank water, Kubaar realised that his relatives would return soon and thrash him for finishing water. He was troubled, when suddenly an idea flashed
across his mind.
Kubaar gathered all empty buckets and climbed with them on a tall pine tree. Soon his relatives returned and noticed that there was no water. They began calling out his name, looking for him all around.
Suddenly one of his cousins noted him hiding on the pine tree. They asked him to get down, but Kubaar refused. Finally, one of them climbed up the tree and dragged him down. They abused and thrashed him mercilessly with sticks. They even kicked him.
Kubaar was wrecked. He broke into tear, calling name of God in mercy. Suddenly something unexpected happened and Kubaar was transformed into a koala bear. Everybody around stepped back in amazement.
The bear said, "If you harm me again, I shall weave my charm and dry up all the water around here, leaving you all to die of thirst!”

Labby - The Little Lamb

Labby the lamb lived on a grassland.
He was very lean and skinny. He ate only scantily and slept all day long while his other friends gazed grass and played around.
One day, the Mother Sheep told Labby, "Soon the winters will come. If you do not eat well, you wool will not grow and you will suffer in winters".
Labby nodded and ignored his mother. He continued ignoring food.
Days passed by and winters came by. The weather grew very frosty and bitter. The grass was covered with snow and the sheep had little or nothing to eat. They gathered in a herd and decided to move in a hiding to protect themselves. But Labby was too weak to move. His mother cried, wondering how he would survive the conditions.
Soon all the sleep in herd gathered around Labby and covered him up. The younger sleep formed the inner circle and the older ones covered them over. The herd kept close together all night long until the morning sun came and melted away the snow.
Labby thanked all his friends and proused his mother to eat well thereafter.
