Days passed by and the fate teller gained popularity in the village. The merchants who came from nearby villages, carried his name and soon people from other villages started coming to know his prophecy. Now, the fate teller bought a home and settled in the village.
One noon, while the fate teller was busy in spelling charms for good fate and fortune, a man came running to him and said, 'Prophet! A thief broke into your house and stole all your belongings'.
The fate teller fell on his knees and cried calling heavens for mercy. Seeing this, a person standing nearby said, 'O prophet! You claim to foresee the future of other people, how is that you were unable to foresee your own ill fate and befallen misery on you?'
The fate teller left the country forever and was never seen again
