126. Aesop's Fables - The Hare And The Sparrow

One day a hare was caught by an eagle. It pleaded mercy and sobbed. Just then a sparrow came and said, 'O hare! Where is the swiftness of your feet? Why are they not speeding up to escape this eagle's clinch?'

While the sparrow spoke, the hawk suddenly pounced on her and seized her. The sparrow pleaded the hawk for her life.

While the hare saw this, he cried out, 'You silly bird, when you were safe you exulted over my misfortune. How you will face the same pain and misfortune as I do'.

Moral: Never make fun of others if they are in difficult situation.
