A man was found of pet birds. He had a house ferret. The ferret was born in his house and though the master loved and cared for it, its voice was unpleasing and caused restlessness.
Very often when the ferret shrilled, the master thrashed it and threw it out of his home.
One day, the man bought a beautiful red parrot. The parrot had an equally adorable voice. It was domestically breed and played, perched around the house. It sang around and talked with the master. He was pleasing to the master.
When the ferret saw, the parrot's freedom and master's love towards it, it grew envy.
One day when was not around, the ferret came to the parrot and asked him, 'Who are you? Where have to come from?'
The parrot replied, 'I am a parrot. The master bought from my previous keeper'.
The house-ferret was annoyed. She said, 'You are a shameless bird. You are new in the house and go around merrily screeching and singing. I see that the master adores you and never scolds you. I was born in this house, but I am forbidden to shrill or make any sound. The master is unkind to me when I sing and often thrashes me'.
The parrot laughed. He was perky and quick in his answers. He said, 'O old keep! There is no comparison between two of us, other than the fact that we both are birds. My voice was pleasing to my previous keeper as it is now to the new master. I shall sing around to my joy and to that of master'.
Moral: People are wicked, who are critics tend to throw the blame on to others. It is important that we understand the bad motives behind criticism and let them not undermine our interests and abilities.
