Once upon a time there lived a crow.
It was very hot afternoon and people were resting inside their homes. The crow flew across the village and saw an earthen pot placed on wall of a home. The pot has some water in it.
The crow tried to drink water but was unable to reach it. The water was low in the pitcher. The crow was very thirsty and began thinking of a way to reach water. He saw some pebbles spread around and an idea stuck him.
The crow took the pebbles in his beak and dropped them into the pot. Soon the pebbles filled the bottom of pot and the water in the pitcher came up. The crow drank the water and happily flew away.
