72. Aesop's Fables - The Monkeys and Their Mother

Once there lived a couple of monkeys in a forest. One day the mother monkey gave birth two young ones.

The father monkey was very fond of their young ones. But the mother monkey fondled one of the babies, nurtured it with the greatest affection and care, and neglected the other.

The baby monkeys gradually grew up. The young monkey was caressed and loved by the mother monkey became notorious and smothered by the too great affection of the mother. His brother who was dejected and despised become a humble and noble in its actions.

Moral: Our best intentions do not ensure success.
