The End

One day a young student entered the room in haste. He happened to hit his master's vase. The vase fell and broke into pieces.

The student was sacred. He took the broken vase and gathered the scattered pieces. When he heard the approaching footsteps of his master, he his the vase behind himself.

When the master came, the student greeted him and asked, 'Master. We see people, animals and birds die. Why does one die?'

The master enlightened the student, 'Everything in the world has a finite span. It has a defined beginning and an end. We mortals take birth, live as long as destiny decides and then die. The immortals too have a beginning and an end. It is a natural process'.

The student said, 'Master, I am enlightened'.

Then he brought forward the broken vase and said, 'Master, the time for this vase had came to an end'.

The master smiled at the student and went away.
