Once there was a trumpeter. He used to play his trumpet for the country army.
One year there was a battle. During the battle, the trumpeter happen to ventured too far and entered the enemy's territory. The general of the opposite army thought of him as a traitor and ordered his men to captivate him.
Soon the general asked his men to execute the trumpeter. He was dragged and treated badly. When they were just about to behead him, the trumpeter pleaded, 'O general have mercy in me! I am only a trumpeter. I do not carry or know to use any weapon. My entire family has always been in trumpeting for the royal family. I know only to blow trumpet which can not harm any one of you here. Why do you want to kill me?'
The blood thirsty men around him laughed loudly. The general came near the trumpeter and said, 'Certainly, blowing trumpet cannot harm me or anyone here. But you know when you blow the trumpet loudly in the battlefield it spells the spirit of patriotism in the battling men around you. Therefore you encourage men to fight against us. We shall kill'.
The general's men killed the trumpeter.
