155. Aesop Fable - The Fawn and His Mother

A young fawn who was very dear to his mother, once came to her and asked, 'Mother ! We fawns have horns for defense. You are look larger than the dogs around, and can run longer and faster than them. I do not understand then, why you fear the hounds and run away seeing them?''

The mother smiled lovingly at her young fawn. She said, 'I am aware of the strengths I have. But my weakness is my heart. When I see the hounds, my heart pounds and I feel wrecked. Therefore I flee when I see those wicked hounds'.

Moral: It is important to understand ones capabilities and limitations (strengths and weaknesses).
