Once there lived a weasel in the rear of a house. The weasel had become old and passive. So he was unable to catch the mice and often went hungry.
One day, the weasel saw the house mistress rolling a stack which had grains. The mice often went near the rolled stack. Seeing this, an idea occurred to the weasel.
The weasel pulled a stack and rolled itself in it. He cornered himself and waited for the mice to come.
Soon a mice saw the bumpy stack and ran towards it thinking that it had food. The weasel immediately rose and seized a mouse. Days passed and weasel kept killing mice who ignorantly came near the stack in want of food.
As the number of mice declined, the mice in group were worried about the disappearing members. So an old mouse of the group started keeping around the place. Soon he learned how the wily weasel preyed upon the
mice by covering herself. He called all members of mice family and told them about the secret face of weasel.
Thus the mice stopped visiting the stack. The old weasel kept waiting for the prey. She was too old too prey and died one day due to hunger.
Moral: Vanity is foolishness.
