One day, when the House Martin was singing, her attention was caught by a mistletoe. She soon called all the birds inhabiting around and gave them an alert, 'Friends! We our lives are in danger. I just spotted a small mistletoe outgrowth here. It will soon spread to all oaks around, and we birds will be shelter-less. In wake if this impending threat, I am here to give an advise - either cut the mistletoe soon as you see them from the branches or if you cannot do this, then you should seek shelter from humans, asking them not to use mistletoe birdlime for trapping them'.

When the birds heart the house martin, they started laughing and mocking her. They ignored her and flew back to their homes.

The House Martin however, decided to abandon her nest on the oak. She flew to the nearby home and requested them to take her as their supplicant. The humans were warm and welcoming towards her. They provided her with shelter home and food. The Martin lived happily with them.
