Once there was lived a hart.
One day a team of hunters came in the forest. They killed many animals for food and fun. When they were returning, a hart passed their way. The hunters chased the hart, but it ran away quickly as it could.
It saw an ox- stall and jumped into it. It saw a large heap of hay and buried itself into it. The hart hide itself in a way that only its horn could be seen.
The ox stall had some stable boys who tended the farm animals. They were resting, when suddenly the hunters entered the stall and inquired about the hart. The boys were sleepy and casually said no to the hunters. The hunters went away.
Next morning, when the stall master came, his foot hit the horns of the hart, and he yelled 'What have you stable boys up to? What is this unusual protuberance here?'
The stable boys gathered around the projecting horns. They tried pulling it out from the truss of hay. They found the hart sleeping there and soon slaughtered it.
Moral: Nothing
escapes the master's eye.
